I did this 6 foot panel as a commission for the new Exempla St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver.  It is a companion piece to Forest Light 2, both of which will hang in the surgery waiting room.

I used many pieces of found papers and photos of trees and such from my own photo archive which at this point is getting quite large.  Material management is one of the challenges of being a collage artist.  The artwork is also made of painted papers, text and acrylic paint.

I always coat the finished product with polymer gloss and heat seal it with a heavy iron.  Then I give it 2 coats of UVLS acrylic varnish for added protection.

I believe this is my favorite forest panel so far.
