This is about as mixed media a piece as I can get, starting with collage and ending with a 3-D element and coated with epoxy resin.
I used a couple of the images from from a cut-down butterfly piece and applied them to an encaustic piece that has been hanging around my studio waiting for its opportunity. I really like this deceptively uncomplicated design. It has some mystery and depth that I do not often achieve.
