This piece was a commission for Charlie Quimby who is using it as cover art for his new book entitled “Inhabited”.  It is based on another larger piece I completed several years ago, Mt. Garfield Area Map.

It was a learning experience to create a piece of art in response to a book.  I am lucky enough to be able to read the unedited manuscript.  It is a thoughtful and thought-provoking novel about the small city in which I live, Grand Junction, Colorado.
