This is an example of the latest incarnation of my forest collage series. It is done on a 60 inch by 24 inch cradled board and as such doesn’t need framing. It is constructed of photos, found papers, magazine papers, tissue paper, cheesecloth and lots of paint and UV varnish. I wanted to see if I could successfully use a high horizon in a forest collage, so that most of the detail and interest is in the foreground. This painting is for sale for $2000.00
It won a juried search for art to hang in the new Exempla-St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver. It is hanging in one of the surgery waiting rooms.
It is also in the publication COLLECT which is a catalog for the exhibit of art in public collections in Colorado which took place at the Arvada Center for the Arts in 2014.
