Mixed Media Collage with Watermedia

36″ x 26″

Matted and Framed

For Sale:  $1200.00

This large watermedia painting was done on yupo paper. It started out as a prompt exercise done in my mixed media class.
It has random pieces of tissue, textured papers and newspaper as an underlayer. I like the randomness that responding to the prompts (a series of words and/or concepts that are typed on pieces of paper and picked out of a box) gave the finished product. It is first in a series of paintings that I plan based on our trip to Greece and Turkey.  It was juried into the 2013 National Contemporary Exhibit at the Art Center in Grand Junction.
