This piece is a rework of an abstract that was juried into the Rockies West National Watermedia Show a couple of years ago. I had used its frame for another piece, and so this piece of painted yupo was hanging around my studio. I took another look at it and decided to cut it down to fit another frame I had. My main objective was to simply and amplify. I used India ink in a small squeeze bottle to apply the black outlined designs. It has an entirely different feel, more in keeping with my current obsession with lots of small shapes.
This piece is 14 x 20 inches and is matted and framed and for sale for $500.00.

This piece was juried into the Colorado Watercolor Society’s New Trends Show in Denver in December 2014 in which it won an Award of Merit.

This abstract sold at The Art Center Benefit Auction in May 2019 for a premium price.  It sold before the auction took place.   It was a 100% donation to the Art Center.
