I did this collage in response to a trip to Cuba. It was prompted by picking up a tattered piece of paper off the ground which reminded me of the decrepit building facades in Havana. The tattered paper is in the left hand corner and towards the middle (three pieces in total)of the piece. So I worked around the paper adding manipulated photos from our trip, found papers, tissue and paint.
This piece was juried into the 2007 National Collage Show and won an award.
