Ghosts of Africa

This is my watermedia version of Stopping Traffic (see collages). It love embellishing these mystical figures. This painting was juried into the Western Colorado Watercolor Society Show in 2009 where it won a merchandise award. It is currently at Foothills Art Center in Golden, Colorado where it was juried into the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Show. I was very excited to have a work juried into this highly competitive show. I was even more excited when it won the Dona Abbott Memorial Award.
This painting is for sale for $900.00

Very nice, as is Mt. Garfield, which I saw in the airport. How large is Ghosts of Africa?

Thank you, Bill. I am glad you saw the Mt. Garfield piece at the airport. Yours is the first feed-back I have gotten. If you would tell me where it is at the airport, I would appreciate the info. We will be travelling in a couple of weeks and maybe I can see it before it travels to the Capitol building.
To answer your question: “Ghosts of Africa” is 30 inches high by 26 inches wide, that is the image size. It is matted and framed which adds another 8 inches to each dimension. It is currently at Foothills Art Center (until October 18th) in the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Show.
