This piece began like so many do in my mixed media class at the Art Center.  The assignment was to create a text background and proceed to add layers of collage to reach a finished product.  Most of the collage pieces are treated magazine pages from National Geographic using a process that melts the ink using non-toxic Citrasolv, which is a cleaning product.  This piece quickly became about science.  I
